Despite it seeming like the Christmas school holidays have only just finished, before you know it half term will be here and the kids will be off school for another week. As a parent or childcare professional, it can be difficult to know what to do in order to keep a group of children entertained during any school holiday, so we at Westbus thought we’d help you out with details on a few places you could visit during the February half term;
A Trip to the Zoo
Most kids love a trip to the zoo, and they are a great way of spending a day out in the open air as opposed to being cooped up inside in front of the TV. There are zoos up and down the country so do a spot of research and find out what is available near you.
Visit a Theme Park
Children are thrill seekers by nature so a visit to a theme park is sure to get them excited and the adrenaline pumping. There are rides and attractions to suit all age groups so whether you are looking after a group of younger children, older children or a mixture of the two, a theme park is a sure-fire way to keep them all entertained for the day.
Tour of the London Attractions
England’s capital is full of great attractions to keep kids entertained from Madame Tussauds where they can meet their favourite stars through to the London Dungeons, an open top bus tour or a trip on the London Eye. The trip doesn’t even need to be overly expensive if you wish as you a tube ticket can take you to and from the main sights including Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament and Piccadilly Circus, along with a spot of shopping on Oxford Street thrown in for good measure!
If you have a large group of kids to keep entertained during the half term holidays, you will of course require suitable transportation to get to one or all of the attractions detailed above, which is where we come in.
